Hearing Aid Warranties and Repairs
Occasionally your hearing aid will not function as it should. It is subjected to moisture, dust, dirt, debris and the damaging effects of earwax. When hearing aids malfunction or are damaged, timely repairs are essential to maintain good communication in all listening environments.
In-Warranty Repairs: New hearing aids are typically covered by a two-year comprehensive Loss and Damage and Repair policy provided by the original manufacturer. This covers all necessary services to the hearing aid, with the exception of consumable parts such as batteries, tone hooks, and ear molds.
Extended Warranties: Extended coverage for Loss and Damage and Repair is available through our office. Prices will vary depending on the technology and size of your hearing aid. Such a policy allows the user to budget maintenance cost.
Out-of-Warranty Repairs: Hearing aids needing repairs that are not under warranty are typically sent to the device manufacturer or to an all-makes repair lab and then issued with either a 6 – month or a 1-year warranty depending on the age and technology of the aid. Warranty costs vary from $185-$375. Complete Hearing Solutions, P.C. will credit you half of the cost of your repair toward the purchase of a new device within the 6-months of the repair date.
In-Office Repairs: Often we are able to repair your hearing aid in our lab. We are equipped with materials and equipment to make many mechanical repairs while you wait. Repairs such as changing battery doors, windscreens, ear hooks, and cleaning the aid can typically be completed in our lab at minimal cost to you.
